Arizona

So now we are in Arizona, home of the Grand Canyon. We have separate pages for the main attractions in Arizona, this page is just for pictures we took while driving through the state.

Arizona is famous for Route 66 and we drove on it for several hours. It is a shame that it died off thanks to the Interstate. The few relics that are left are quite interesting to see and it made us imagine what it was like during its heyday. We also enjoyed the landscape in Arizona and the reminders of the state's heritage. We passed through numerous Indian reservations and even bought a small piece of Indian pottery. They charge tourist prices so we only got a $20 vase and we have it sitting in our living room now. We enjoyed our trip through the state and hope to return one day.

We visited here in 07/2014.
